He succeeds Juan Tapia, who was ousted after 18 months as program director and midday personality.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVictor has a proven track record in the Chicago market and will be solely focused on improving ratings,\u201d said Leti Aguilera, vice president and general manager of<em> La Ley.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>During his 10-year run with Univision Radio, Cerda launched WPPN as <em>Pasion 106.7.<\/em>\u00a0It's now branded as <em>Amor 106.7.<!--more--><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Cerda\u2019s position with Univision Radio was eliminated in a company restructuring in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Aguilera said former morning co-host Diane <em>\u201cLa Diane\u201d<\/em> Fong, who has been filling in as midday personality, will remain in the shift from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays.<\/p>\n<p>In the latest Nielsen Audio survey, <em>La Ley<\/em> ranked 27th with a 1.5 percent share and cumulative audience of 544,700.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The man who put Spanish-language adult contemporary WPPN FM 106.7 on the air for Univision Radio is about to join rival WLEY FM 107.9.
