A new live, local morning show, billed as \u201cLos Chavalones de La Ley,\u201d<\/em> debuted Tuesday on WLEY FM 107.9, <\/a>the Spanish Broadcasting System regional Mexican\u00a0station.<\/p>\n

Meaning \u201cyoung crew\u201d in Spanish slang, \u201cLos Chavalones\u201d<\/em> features Ivan \"El Ivan\"<\/em> Paez, Diane \"La Diane\"<\/em> Fong and Juan \u201cEl Pop\u201d<\/em> Cristobal. Paez and Cristobal previously hosted afternoons at KBUE in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

The new team succeeds Rafael \u201cEl Pistolero\u201d<\/em> Pulido, who was dropped<\/a> last month after little more than a year as morning host on La Ley.<\/em> Fong had been his co-host since last May.<\/p>\n

Leti Aguilera, vice president and general manager of La Ley,<\/em> promised the new show would \u201cbring an exciting, energetic and fresh perspective to morning radio.\u201d Noting that Paez and Cristobal hail from Sinaloa, Mexico, she said: \u201cTheir unique creativity and stylistic approach has turned them into a social media sensation across both sides of the Mexican border.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the latest Nielsen Audio ratings, La Ley<\/em> tied for 29th in mornings with a 1.1 percent share and cumulative weekly audience of 176,300.<\/p>\n
