Chicago is No. 3.<\/p>\n<p>The extraordinary 184-market jump was engineered by Maragos\u2019 agent, Chicago attorney Joel Weisman.<\/p>\n<p>A Chicago native and 2013 graduate of Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, Maragos previously held internships at<a href=\"http:\/\/www.csnchicago.com\" target=\"_blank\"> Comcast SportsNet Chicago,<\/a> Cumulus Media news\/talk <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wlsam.com\" target=\"_blank\">WLS AM 890,<\/a> and ESPN Radio sports talk <a href=\"http:\/\/espn.go.com\/chicago\/radio\/\" target=\"_blank\">WMVP AM 1000.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alex Maragos, a rookie reporter and news anchor from West Lafayette, Indiana, is coming home to Chicago to join NBC-owned WMAQ-Channel 5.
