His pro football career included a season with the NFL Tennessee Titans and stints with NFL Europe and the Canadian Football League. In 2010 he retired from the Chicago Slaughter of the Indoor Football League.<\/p>\n<p>Last year Payton joined Tribune Media as afternoon co-host of The Game, the short-lived FM sports\/talk station. When that venture folded, he <a href=\"http:\/\/www.robertfeder.com\/2015\/01\/05\/wgn-drafts-sportstalk-players-from-the-game\/\" target=\"_blank\">shifted<\/a>\u00a0to hosting weekends on WGN Radio and <a href=\"http:\/\/wgnplus.com\/category\/down-and-distance\/\" target=\"_blank\">podcasting<\/a> on <a href=\"http:\/\/wgnplus.com\" target=\"_blank\">WGNplus.com.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Payton\u2019s sister, Brittney, also appears on WGN and CLTV as co-host of \u201cChicago\u2019s Best,\u201d the weekly food show.
