Starting at 7 p.m., the event is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>Patner, who was critic-at-large at classical <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wfmt.com\" target=\"_blank\">WFMT FM 98.7 <\/a>and a contributing critic on classic music for the<a href=\"http:\/\/chicago.suntimes.com\" target=\"_blank\"> Sun-Times,<\/a> died February 3 from a bacterial infection at age 55.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Among those providing musical tributes during the celebration will be members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Lyric Opera Orchestra and jazz pianists Willie and Bethany Pickens.<\/p>\n<p>At his family\u2019s request, donations in Patner\u2019s memory may be made to Chicago Children\u2019s Choir at <a href=\"www.ccchoir.org\/support.html\" target=\"_blank\">www.ccchoir.org\/support.html<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The life of Chicago journalist and arts critic Andrew Patner will be celebrated March 18 in Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center, 220 South Michigan Avenue.
