Her last day at CBS 2 was Friday.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has been a wonderful 9\u00bd years breaking news for WBBM in Illinois and Indiana,\u201d Jones said Monday. \u201cThe Emmy I received for my part in team coverage of a serious crash on I-94 last winter remains a high point of my career. I am looking forward to the next chapter. For now, it's time for some sun and relaxation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A graduate of Northwestern University\u2019s Medill School of Journalism, Jones joined CBS 2 in 2005 after seven months as a reporter and fill-in news anchor at Tribune Media news channel <a href=\"http:\/\/cltv.com\" target=\"_blank\">CLTV.<\/a> For three years she served as CBS 2\u2019s Northwest Indiana bureau chief.<\/p>\n<p>Jones previously worked as an anchor\/reporter at KETV-TV, the ABC affiliate in Omaha, Nebraska, and KMIZ-TV, the ABC affiliate in Columbia, Missouri.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pamela Jones has parted company with WBBM-Channel 2 after 10 years as a general assignment reporter.
