His appointment, announced Wednesday, is effective March 2.<\/p>\n<p>Like Green, Feder worked for\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\" target=\"_blank\">CNN, <\/a>where he spent five years as senior vice president of current programming until May 2013. He left after Jeff Zucker took over as president of CNN Worldwide. Also exiting around that time was Christa Robinson, senior vice president of communications, who subsequently joined <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tribunemedia.com\" target=\"_blank\">Tribune Media <\/a>as chief communications officer.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Feder previously headed local news operations at WABC-TV in New York, WHDH-TV in Boston, WJXT-TV in Jacksonville, Florida, and KOVR-TV in Sacramento, California. He also served as chairman and CEO of The FeedRoom, a pioneering online video, live streaming and digital asset management company.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBart has a long history of successful newsroom leadership and digital innovation,\u201d Larry Wert, Tribune Media president of broadcast media, said in a statement. \u201cWe are excited to have a content visionary of Bart\u2019s caliber joining our team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Said Feder: \u201cTribune has an unparalleled commitment to local news and finding innovative approaches to connect with its communities on every platform.
