Afternoon listenership was up for grabs in January, with CBS Radio all-news WBBM 780 and WCFS FM 105.9,<\/a> anchored by Kris Kridel and Keith Johnson, rising to the top of the charts.<\/p>\n Nielsen Audio ratings released Tuesday for the period from January 1 to 28 showed the Newsradio combo displacing longtime afternoon leader Doug Banks of iHeartMedia urban adult-contemporary WVAZ FM 102.7, <\/a>who fell to third.<\/p>\n Between them was Kevin \u201cKoz\u201d Koske of Hubbard Radio hot adult-contemporary WTMX FM 101.9.<\/a> Although second overall, Koske finished first among listeners between 25 and 54.<\/p>\n Cracking the afternoon top 10 for the first time were Terry Boers and Dan Bernstein of CBS Radio sports\/talk WSCR AM 670.<\/a><\/p>\n The latest ratings do not reflect the January 26 start of Roe Conn as afternoon host at Tribune Media news\/talk WGN AM 720.<\/a> His predecessors, Bill Leff and Wendy Snyder, bowed out in a tie for 20th place with a 2.3 share.
