After posting Steve Dahl\u2019s rant <\/a>about WGN AM 720 Sunday, I received the following response from Steve Cochran, morning personality on the Tribune Media news\/talk station:<\/p>\n

Dear Steve,<\/em><\/p>\n

Never heard your podcast but I read Feder every day.<\/em><\/p>\n

We both know your goal here is to use us to get someone to subscribe to your \"show.\u201d\u00a0 Can't help you there.<\/em><\/p>\n

But I'm sure when you read this you will at least have some new material.<\/em><\/p>\n

Why so bitter, Steve?\u00a0 You had a nice run.\u00a0 Enjoy your golden years.<\/em><\/p>\n

Maybe break out some old tapes and listen when Bill and Wendy were on your show.\u00a0 You were occasionally funny then.\u00a0 Or listen to how you sounded when you worked for deCastro because you certainly must know he didn't need you . . . you needed him.<\/em><\/p>\n

So Jimmy didn't hire you.\u00a0 It's not the end of the world.\u00a0 Maybe someone will.\u00a0 Or has everyone said no already?<\/em><\/p>\n

Come to think of it, WGN would never have worked for you even if you had a show.\u00a0 Everyone is happy to be working for Jimmy.\u00a0 You could never work in an environment like that.<\/em><\/p>\n

So we'll keep winning and you keep whining.\u00a0 But definitely keep analyzing photos like you did about the Pat Hughes picture.\u00a0 Radio Photo Analysis . . . good bit.<\/em><\/p>\n
