<\/a> Courtney Gousman<\/p><\/div>\n

After two years as a per diem reporter at CBS-owned WBBM-Channel 2,<\/a> Courtney Gousman has been hired as a full-time general assignment reporter at Tribune Broadcasting WGN-Channel 9.<\/a><\/p>\n

Starting July 9, she\u2019ll be reporting on WGN\u2019s evening newscasts, according to interim news director Jennifer Lyons.<\/p>\n

\u201cA Chicago native, Courtney is a perfect fit for \u2018Chicago\u2019s Very Own\u2019 news team,\u201d Lyons said. \u201cShe\u2019s experienced, dynamic and active in the community. She\u2019ll be a great addition to our staff.\u201d<\/p>\n

The daughter of a Chicago policeman and graduate of Chicago\u2019s Whitney Young High School and Hampton University in Virginia, Gousman joined CBS 2 from KSDK-TV, the NBC affiliate in St. Louis, where she was a news anchor and reporter. She previously worked at WEHT-TV in Evansville, Indiana, KRGC-TV in Jefferson City, Missouri, and WMAR-TV in Baltimore.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a return to Tribune Broadcasting for Gousman, who began her career as an intern at CLTV in 2003.<\/p>\n
