Stroud, whose last day of full-time employment after 21 years on The Drive will be June 30, learned Monday that he's on the ballot again this year for the Radio Hall of Fame. (More on this year's nominees in Tuesday's post.)

“It is most gratifying to see the commitment and hard work from everyone at The Drive reflected in the ratings," said Jeff England, vice president and market manager of Hubbard Radio Chicago. "This is a nice welcome to Chicago for Keith Hastings, our new director of brand and content, and certainly adds even more weight to Bob Stroud’s just-announced nomination to the Radio Hall of Fame.

"Of course none of this is possible without the loyalty and support of our listeners in 'Driver Nation.' Thank you from Chicago’s Classic Rock - The Drive," he said.

Leading the market in mornings was Chicago Public Media news/talk WBEZ 91.5-FM, with NPR's “Morning Edition” and “BBC Newshour” and local news cut-ins anchored by Mary Dixon. The Drive's Brian Sherman and Steve Tingle finished second in mornings.

Nights were topped by iHeartMedia R&B WVAZ 102.7-FM, with syndicated host Keith Sweat.

Univision Spanish-language regional Mexican WOJO 105.1-FM dominated the ratings among listeners between 25 and 54 — the demographic most sought by advertisers. Que Buena 105.1 not only finished first in the key adult demo overall but also led in mornings with Raúl Molinar, Carla Medrano and Andrés Maldonado, middays with Rafael “El Primo Rafa” Bautista, and afternoons with Sylvia del Valle.

Hispanic listeners comprise 21.5 percent of the Chicago radio market and Black listeners comprise 16.6 percent of the market, according to Nielsen.
