Cheryl Burton, now in her 30th year as news anchor at top-rated ABC-owned WLS-Channel 7,<\/a> has been named to iHeartMedia Chicago's<\/a> 2022 class of Women Who Win.<\/a><\/p>\n

Coinciding with Women's History Month, the honor celebrates the achievements of prominent women who've \"made a significant impact in the community as a direct result of their exceptional leadership.\"<\/p>\n

It's presented by iHeartMedia Chicago and YWCA Metropolitan Chicago, joined this year by Chicago Foundation for Women.<\/p>\n

This year's 11 recipients will be honored throughout March with a series of on-air and digital vignettes appearing on iHeartMedia Chicago\u2019s six radio stations, websites and social media.<\/p>\n

\nBrenda Palms,<\/strong> president and CEO, North Lawndale Employment Network and CEO, Sweet Beginnings, LLC
\nLaura Ricketts,<\/strong> director of the Chicago Cubs Major League Baseball Club,\u2028 chair of the board of Chicago Cubs Charities and co-founder of Beyond Barriers
\nAnn B. Taylor,<\/strong> Mayor, City of Waukegan
\nNancy Wright,<\/strong> CEO, Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana<\/p>\n

\u201cWomen Who Win Class of 2022 Virtual Exchange\u201d \u2014 noon to 1 p.m. April 28 on Facebook Live \u2014 will feature the honorees sharing their insights and answering questions from radio listeners and the community.<\/p>\n

\u201ciHeartMedia Chicago is celebrating the success of 11 extraordinary women who have made an indelible mark in their companies and our communities,\u201d said Matt Scarano, president of iHeartMedia Chicago. \u201cIt is an honor to showcase their accomplishments during Women\u2019s History Month and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n

The group includes hip-hop WGCI 107.5-FM, R&B WVAZ 102.7-FM, gospel WGRB 1390-AM, adult contemporary WLIT 93.9-FM, rock WCHI 95.5-FM and Top 40 WKSC 103.5-FM.<\/p>\n
