Kristie Graybill

Robservations on the media beat:

It’s over and out for Kristie Graybill after one year as a contributor to Christopher “Fred” Frederick’s morning show on Top 40 WKSC 103.5-FM. She'd been missing from “The Fred Show” for two weeks without explanation before iHeartMedia confirmed that she no longer works for Kiss FM. No further comment was provided. Graybill, an Ohio native who previously co-hosted mornings at KSLZ in St. Louis, joined the show after longtime co-host Angi Taylor shifted to mornings on rock WCHI 95.5-FM. A replacement for Graybill is expected to be named soon. Dan Abrams

Dan Abrams proved to be a bust at 7 p.m., so NewsNation is moving his weeknight talk show to 8 p.m., starting tonight. After six months on Nexstar Media’s Chicago-based cable news network, “Dan Abrams Live” averaged 57,000 viewers nationwide — down 36 percent from the same time last year. (Among viewers between 25 and 54, it averaged a mere 8,000.) By switching the show to 8 p.m., NewsNation bosses hope Abrams can benefit from the absence of Rachel Maddow from MSNBC and Chris Cuomo from CNN. The move “will expose Dan and his show to millions of new viewers at a time when the cable news landscape is going through a lot of transition, with a number of schedule changes and anchor realignment underway,” said Michael Corn, president of news for NewsNation. “NewsNation Prime,” anchored by Marni Hughes, will move to 7 p.m.
