{"id":3141,"date":"2014-04-21T07:00:59","date_gmt":"2014-04-21T12:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.robertfeder.com\/?p=3141"},"modified":"2014-04-21T07:01:45","modified_gmt":"2014-04-21T12:01:45","slug":"biondo-comeback-report-called-wildly-inaccurate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/robertfeder.dailyherald.com\/2014\/04\/21\/biondo-comeback-report-called-wildly-inaccurate\/","title":{"rendered":"Biondo report called \u2018wildly inaccurate\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_3142\" style=\"width: 172px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/robertfeder.dailyherald.com\/2014\/04\/21\/biondo-comeback-report-called-wildly-inaccurate\/\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3142\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3142\" alt=\"Trish Biondo\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Trish-Biondo.png\" width=\"162\" height=\"279\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Trish-Biondo.png 162w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Trish-Biondo-150x258.png 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 162px) 100vw, 162px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3142\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><\/a> Trish Biondo<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Trish Biondo and her agent are disputing as \u201cwildly inaccurate\u201d an online report about her imminent return to Chicago radio.<\/p>\n<p>Biondo, who<a href=\"http:\/\/www.robertfeder.com\/2013\/12\/30\/times-up-for-marker-biondo\/\" target=\"_blank\"> left<\/a> CBS Radio country WUSN FM 99.5 after 27 years last December, was the subject of a Chicagoland media blogger\u2019s post late Friday speculating that she was \u201con her way back to the Chicago airwaves in the very near future.\u201d\u00a0The report was picked up by the trade website\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.radioink.com\/Article.asp?id=2781609&amp;spid=24698\" target=\"_blank\">Radio Ink.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Attributed to unnamed \u201cinside sources,\u201d the blog report said Biondo\u2019s agent, Chicago attorney Todd Musburger, \u201chas been in negotiations with Clear Channel Media + Entertainment Chicago to bring Biondo to WLIT-FM\/93.9 MYfm.\u201d It added that \u201csome think it could be as morning show co-host.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Musburger said Sunday that neither he nor Biondo was in talks with Clear Channel or anyone else about her employment. \u201cShe is extremely busy and enjoying her time at home and is very involved in her community,\u201d Musburger told me. \u201cShe misses her colleagues, listeners and many friends in the industry, but the blog report is wildly inaccurate and she does not know where or how it started.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Musburger also disputed a claim in the blog report that Biondo had not been offered a new contract as midday personality at US 99.5.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrish <em>was<\/em> offered a new agreement,\u201d he said. \u201cThey even amended it to try to get her to say yes and remain at US 99.
