The Chicago Sun-Times<\/a> boosted two top bosses Friday with the promotion of interim CEO Nykia Wright to CEO and editor-in-chief Chris Fusco to executive editor.<\/p>\n
Nykia Wright<\/p><\/div>\n
Wright, 40, joined the company as chief operating officer in 2017 and was named interim CEO after Edwin Eisendrath stepped down in 2018. She previously worked as a strategic and financial marketing consultant.<\/p>\n
The Atlanta native has an MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and holds a degree in business administration and finance from Carnegie Mellon University. She also has an international business certificate from the University of Cambridge in England.<\/p>\n

Chris Fusco<\/p><\/div>\n
Fusco, 47, a 20-year veteran of the Sun-Times, rose from reporter to managing editor before being named editor-in-chief in 2017. The new title of executive editor \"better reflects his role in both editorial and business operations,\" according to the company.<\/p>\n
Fusco grew up in southwest suburban Alsip, and graduated from Marist High School in Chicago and Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington. He previously worked as a reporter for the Daily Herald and the Northwest Herald in Crystal Lake.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
