Plans to sign another prominent political blogger are also in the works.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2313\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/S-T-ad.png\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2313\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2313\" alt=\"Sun-Times ad\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/S-T-ad-300x251.png\" width=\"300\" height=\"251\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2313\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sun-Times ad<\/p><\/div>\n<p>On Wednesday, the Sun-Times began running ads in print and online teasing \u201cChicago-Style Politics: Coming Soon\u201d and \u201cDeep Dish Politics: Coming Soon.\u201d Details are sketchy, but insiders say the paper will unveil a comprehensive new digital platform for all things political in early March.<\/p>\n<p>Political reporter Natasha Korecki, who already hosts <a href=\"http:\/\/voices.suntimes.com\/import\/chicago\/video-sun-times-politics-what-is-the-state-of-quinn-and-obama-watch-off-message\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cOff Message,\u201d <\/a>a weekly online talk show featuring a roundtable of Sun-Times reporters and columnists, will be prominently featured on the website, which will use the \u201cEarly and Often\u201d tag line acquired from the former Chicago News Cooperative.<\/p>\n<p>The site also is expected to incorporate the work of Washington bureau chief Lynn Sweet, Springfield bureau chief Dave McKinney, City Hall reporter Fran Spielman, investigative reporter Dan Mihalopoulos and political columnist Carol Marin, among other Sun-Times staffers. Other bells and whistles, sources said, will include aggregated links to political stories elsewhere \u2014 even the Chicago Tribune and Crain\u2019s Chicago Business.<\/p>\n<p>Initial sponsor of the site is <a href=\"http:\/\/jtpr.com\" target=\"_blank\">Jasculca Terman Strategic Communications.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The next big brawl in Chicago journalism may be waged on the political battlefield.
