Brandon\u00a0was a terrific colleague and friend and we wish him nothing but the best.\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Grid ceased publication of its weekly print magazine months ago, and its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicagogrid.com\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a> soon is expected to redirect readers to the main Sun-Times website.<\/p>\n<p>Copple joined Wrapports LLC, parent company of the Sun-Times, in September 2012 from Groupon, where he had been managing editor of the daily deals website. He previously was managing editor of Crain\u2019s Chicago Business from 2004 to 2010.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to launching Grid, Copple also was hired to develop other new media products for Wrapports.<\/p>\n<p>Grid debuted last January amid<a href=\"http:\/\/voices.suntimes.com\/business-2\/grid\/from-the-publisher\/\" target=\"_blank\"> \u201csoaring ambitions\u201d<\/a> as a key to Wrapports\u2019 digital strategy.
