No one at the station \u2014 including her co-host \u2014 seems to have any idea when Hart will be back.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI honestly do not know what is going on,\u201d Ferguson said Wednesday. \u201cAll I know is that she\u2019s off for an undetermined amount of time. I\u2019m not clear about when she\u2019s going to be back. Regardless of what it is, I\u2019m hoping that she\u2019s OK.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jeff England, vice president and market manager of Hubbard Radio Chicago, was equally vague, saying only: \u201cKathy is taking some time off.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hart, 52, who lives in Lincolnshire with her husband and three children, responded to inquiries with a text message that read: \u201cOmg funny. No drama.\u201d She declined further comment.<\/p>\n<p>Now in its 20th year on The Mix, \u201cThe Eric &amp; Kathy Show\u201d remains a ratings and revenue juggernaut. In the latest Nielsen Audio survey, the show ranked second overall with a 6.7 percent share and cumulative weekly audience of 699,100. Among listeners between 25 and 54 \u2014 the group most sought by advertisers \u2014 it consistently is the highest-rated morning show on Chicago radio.<\/p>\n<p>In announcing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.robertfeder.com\/2017\/01\/17\/robservations-mix-renews-eric-kathy\/\">contract renewals<\/a> for Ferguson and Hart last January, Drew Horowitz, president and chief operating officer of Hubbard Radio, said: \u201cI\u2019m thrilled to have the most successful morning show team in Chicago radio history continuing their run on The Mix and remaining an integral part of Hubbard Radio.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ferguson and Hart were<a href=\"http:\/\/www.robertfeder.com\/2016\/11\/18\/robservations-radio-cheers-eric-kathy\/\"> inducted<\/a> in the National Radio Hall of Fame in November 2016.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Radio Hall of Famer Kathy Hart temporarily has stepped aside from the popular morning radio show she co-hosts with Eric Ferguson on Hubbard Radio hot adult-contemporary WTMX FM 101.9.
