Among viewers between 25 and 54 \u2014 the group tied most closely to advertising revenue \u2014 the newscast drew a paltry 0.3 rating.<\/p>\n<p>Two years ago the plan to produce and license a local newscast was a first for Chicago, although ABC Television Stations already had similar arrangements in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Raleigh\/Durham, North Carolina.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ABC-owned WLS-Channel 7 will continue to produce primetime news for Weigel Broadcasting\u2019s WCIU-Channel 26 for at least another year.
