Some morning visitors to suntimes.com<\/a> found the site had been replaced by an \"under construction\" page from its domain host, Network Solutions. Others found nothing at all.<\/p>\n
Later in the day, Sun-Times editors tweeted:<\/a> \u201cYep. One of our vendors got hacked and it's trickling down.\u201d Followed by: \u201cThanks for your patience and apologies for our site issues. All should be cleaned up in the next few hours.\u201d<\/p>\n
Under the headline \u201cSun-Times sites hit by hack on vendor,\u201d managing editor Craig Newman posted this\u00a0message to readers:<\/a><\/p>\n
\"Early Saturday morning, due to a security issue through our domain name vendor, some areas of suntimes.com <\/a>and some of our associated sites fell victim to cyber attack.<\/p>\n
