<\/a> National Radio Hall of Fame<\/p><\/div>\n

Public voting begins Monday for two categories in the National Radio Hall of Fame.<\/a><\/p>\n

Through June 30, fans are invited to text their votes to 36500 for one of four nominees in the music format personality category and one of four nominees in the spoken-word format personality category. Winners will be announced July 11.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe listener response we received last year since reinstituting the public voting process after a five-year hiatus was overwhelmingly positive,\u201d\u00a0Kraig Kitchin, National Radio Hall of Fame chairman, said in a statement. \u201cFans want to engage and be a part of the process, which is a tribute to the dynamic personalities of each show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nominees for Music Format On-Air Personality are:\u00a0 Sean \u201cHollywood\u201d Hamilton; Tom Kent; \u201cThe Kevin & Bean Show\u201d (Kevin Ryder and Gene Baxter), and Bob Kingsley.\u00a0Nominees For Spoken Word On-Air Personality are: Sean Hannity; \u201cMike and the Mad Dog\u201d (Mike Francesa and Chris Russo); Diane Rehm, and Michael Savage.<\/p>\n

Winners in four other categories will be selected by a panel of 400 industry professionals, including radio executives, programmers, past inductees, executive directors of state broadcast associations, and members of the trade media.<\/p>\n

Among this year\u2019s nominees in the Active Local\/Regional category are Eric Ferguson and Kathy Hart,<\/a> morning personalities on Hubbard Radio hot adult-contemporary WTMX FM 101.9.<\/a>\u00a0Programs nominated in the Networks\/Syndication category include \u201cWait, Wait . . . Don\u2019t Tell Me!,\u201d hosted by Peter Sagal and produced at Chicago Public Media WBEZ FM 91.5, <\/a>and \u201cThe Steve Harvey Morning Show,\u201d which airs here on iHeartMedia urban adult-contemporary WVAZ FM 102.7.<\/a>\u00a0(Other nominees are listed here.<\/a>)<\/p>\n
