They are: <strong>Max Armstrong,<\/strong> agriculture and business reporter; <strong>Floyd Brown,<\/strong> retired announcer and program host; <strong>Jim Carollo,<\/strong> retired director of engineering;<strong> Dan Fabian,<\/strong>\u00a0onetime college intern who rose to vice president and general manager; <strong>Marilyn Miller,<\/strong> longtime producer of Wally Phillips\u2019s morning show; <strong>Tom Petersen,<\/strong> former news director and morning news anchor; and <strong>Dean Richards,<\/strong> program host, entertainment reporter and critic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn this year\u2019s Walk of Fame class we honor a great combination of compelling characters with golden voices mixed with powerful personalities from behind the scenes,\u201d Todd Manley, vice president of programming and content at WGN, said in a statement. \u201cIt takes more than a microphone to make memorable moments on the radio.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Walk of Fame was established in conjunction with WGN\u2019s 90th anniversary celebration in 2014. Previous inductees include Steve Bertrand, Jack Brickhouse, Bob Collins, Lyle Dean, Dave Eanet, Pat Hughes, Steve King, Roy Leonard, Lou Manfredini, Judy Markey, Franklyn MacCormack, Spike O\u2019Dell, Kathy O\u2019Malley, Wally Phillips, Johnnie Putman, Ward Quaal, Milt Rosenberg, Quin Ryan, Orion Samuelson, Ron Santo and Eddie Schwartz.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s induction ceremonies May 27 will be broadcast live from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on WGN.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An innovative executive, a trailblazing producer, an ace engineer and four distinguished broadcasters are among this year\u2019s honorees in the WGN Radio Walk of Fame.
