Michael Phillips just landed a third gig on Chicago radio. Not bad for a guy talking about movies.<\/p>\n

The veteran Chicago Tribune<\/a> film critic has signed on as a weekly contributor to Pete McMurray and Dan McNeil\u2019s morning show on Hubbard Radio classic hits WDRV FM 97.1.<\/a><\/p>\n

Rob Cressman, program director of The Drive, said Phillips turns up every Thursday at 7:20 a.m. with reviews and critiques of new releases.<\/p>\n

\u201cPete and Dan are both avid motion picture fans and their show often gravitates to what\u2019s new at the movies,\u201d Cressman said.\u00a0\u201cFrom the fantastic to the failures, The Morning Drive\u2019s Thursday edition will now feature the highly respected credentials and honest appraisals of Michael Phillips as he discusses just-opened films and those set to debut in Chicago.\u201d<\/p>\n

Phillips also appears monthly on \u201cFilmspotting,\u201d<\/a> the movie-review podcast and radio show hosted by Adam Kempenaar and Josh Larsen at midnight weekends on Chicago Public Media WBEZ FM 91.5.<\/a><\/p>\n

And he just wrapped up \u201cThe Film Score,\u201d <\/a>an ambitious monthlong series ongreat music from the movies for classical WFMT FM 98.7.<\/a> That\u2019s expected to lead to an ongoing role soon to be announced at the Window to the World Communications station.<\/p>\n

Phillips joined the Tribune as theatre critic in 2002 and was named film critic in 2006. A frequent contributor to Turner Classic Movies, he co-hosted the final season of the nationally syndicated movie-review show \u201cAt the Movies\u201d with A.O. Scott of the New York Times.
