He<a href=\"http:\/\/www.robertfeder.com\/2015\/12\/21\/harry-porterfield-cbs-2-retirement-means-youre-fired\/\" target=\"_blank\"> left <\/a>CBS 2 last December.<\/p>\n<p>Hilkevitch, longtime transportation writer and columnist who accepted a buyout last December after more than 36 years at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicagotribune.com\" target=\"_blank\">Chicago Tribune,<\/a> will be cited for his work as a beat reporter \u201cholding officials accountable for\u00a0delivering\u00a0essential services to\u00a0the city while regularly helping to improve people's daily lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_9188\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Linda-Lenz1.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9188\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-9188\" alt=\"Linda Lenz\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Linda-Lenz1-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Linda-Lenz1-150x150.jpg 150w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Linda-Lenz1-57x57.jpg 57w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Linda-Lenz1-72x72.jpg 72w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Linda-Lenz1-114x114.jpg 114w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Linda-Lenz1-144x144.jpg 144w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-9188\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Linda Lenz<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Lenz was the city\u2019s premier authority on education reform for more than 25 years as founder and publisher of <a href=\"http:\/\/catalyst-chicago.org\" target=\"_blank\">Catalyst Chicago, <\/a>the vital and award-winning news organization and school reform watchdog. She previously was education reporter at the Sun-Times, an editorial writer and reporter for the Chicago Daily News, and political editor of\u00a0the Pioneer Press.<\/p>\n<p>Peter Lisagor Award finalists will be announced in April.
