She previously was Midwest correspondent for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.people.com\/people\/\" target=\"_blank\">People magazine,<\/a> staff reporter for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicagotribune.com\" target=\"_blank\">Chicago Tribune <\/a>and a contributor to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com \" target=\"_blank\">New York Times.<\/a> In 2014 she was named among the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.robertfeder.com\/2014\/05\/02\/the-most-powerful-women-in-chicago-journalism-2014-edition\/\" target=\"_blank\">most powerful women <\/a>in Chicago journalism.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Shia Kapos, one of Chicago\u2019s premier journalists on the celebrity beat, is out after 10 years as senior reporter and columnist for Crain\u2019s Chicago Business.
