WSCR 670-AM is about to become the first radio station in the country to broadcast daily reports on sports betting from VSiN — the Vegas Stats & Information Network.
Starting Friday, the Entercom sports/talk station will air Chicago-focused gambling segments during the 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. hour of Danny Parkins and Dan McNeil's afternoon show each weekday. The one-minute “Score Action Updates” will originate from VSiN studios at the South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa in Las Vegas.
Mitch Rosen, operations director of The Score, announced the partnership agreement in a memo to his staff Thursday.
“The Score has always been ahead of the curve in giving Chicago sports fans what they want,” Brian Musburger, founder and chairman of VSiN, said in a statement. “It makes perfect sense that they represent our first terrestrial radio partnership, and we’re thrilled to provide credible sports gambling content to loyal listeners of the official radio outlet of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bulls."
Musburger, a Chicago native and longtime media and sports agent, launched VSiN in 2017 as the first multi-channel network dedicated to sports gambling information. His uncle, legendary sportscaster Brent Musburger, serves as the marquee host. Bill Adee, digital media executive and former sports editor of the Chicago Tribune and the Sun-Times, is chief operating officer of VSiN.
In addition to airing on SiriusXM Radio Channel 204 and live video streaming on VSiN.com, the network recently announced partnerships with the Arena Football League, TVG and Cheddar.
