It’s over and out for Ryan Gorman after five years as afternoon personality at iHeartMedia Top 40 WKSC FM 103.5.
Gorman, who was known on the air as “Jordan,” was removed from the Kiss FM lineup and the station’s website Wednesday. No reason was cited for the move by management.
In addition to his weekday afternoon show, Gorman also hosted “The Weekly Show,” a half-hour public-affairs talk show that aired on Kiss FM and two other iHeartMedia stations, adult contemporary WLIT FM 93.9 and country WEBG FM 95.5.
A native of Spring Hill, Florida, Gorman attended the University of South Florida and worked at radio stations in Florida and Connecticut before joining Kiss FM as afternoon host in 2010. In 2012, he was promoted to the additional position of assistant program director.
Until a permanent replacement is named, evening host Brady Broski will fill in from 2 to 6 p.m., and overnight host Kevin "Rufio" Santiago will fill in from 6 to 11 p.m., according to a spokeswoman for iHeartMedia Chicago.
In the latest Nielsen Audio survey, afternoons on Kiss FM ranked third with a 4.6 percent share and cumulative weekly audience of 1,128,600. Among listeners between 18 and 34, afternoons on Kiss FM finished second with a 7.0 share and 398,200 cume, trailing CBS Radio competitor WBBM FM 96.3, which led the market with a 7.2 share and 414,400 cume.
