Jane Monzures, the multitalented Chicago television and radio host, has been hired as afternoon personality at WILV FM 100.3.

Monzures started Monday at the Hubbard Radio adult contemporary station, replacing Brian Middleton, who signed off Jan. 8 after seven years. “We are excited to hear Jane’s wit, energy and positivity every day from 2 to 7 p.m.,” program director Marty Bender said in announcing the appointment.

The southwest suburban Orland Park native and Bradley University graduate most recently was one of two voice-tracking hosts heard on adult hits WIQI FM 101.1. (The station, recently taken over by Cumulus Media, has reverted to its former identity as modern rock WKQX.) Monzures previously had two runs at classic rock WLUP FM 97.9, including stints as Pete McMurray’s morning co-host and Zakk Tyler’s afternoon co-host.

Also known for her work on TV, Monzures hosts “Living Healthy Chicago" Sunday mornings on Tribune Broadcasting WGN-Channel 9, and previously was a regular contributor to WCIU-TV's "You & Me This Morning" on Weigel Broadcasting WCIU-Channel 26. Before that, she hosted “Homes Plus” and was correspondent for “Metromix” on CLTV.

Her hiring at “Chicago’s 100.3” marks the first time Monzures has hosted a live radio show solo. “I am thrilled to be a part of the Hubbard team and excited to spend my afternoons on 100.3,” she said in a statement. “Like a good pair of shoes, this is a perfect fit for me.”

In the latest Nielsen Audio survey, WILV tied for 13th place in afternoons among listeners between 25 and 54 with a 2.8 percent share and a cumulative weekly audience of 304,300.
